First prize: a one-week trip to the Canary Islands

How to win the prize:

• Each comment / place created offers an additional chance to win a prize,
• The contest starts September 11th, 2009 at noon and ends October 29th, 2009 at noon.
• The draw will take place Thursday, October 29th at a special students associations / MadeinLocal happening.

Winners and prizes:

• 1^st Prize : a one-week trip to the Canary Islands,
• 2^nd Prize: coupons worth a total of CHF 100 .- at one of our partner restaurants,
• 3^rd - 10^th Prize : Sat cards,
• Each prize will be drawn based on the number of comment (s) and / or places (s) created.
• Each student will receive at most one prize.

Participation conditions:

• Being a student or doctoral student at EPFL-UNIL (valid student card at the time of the draw is required). Personnel, employees, teachers are excluded from competition,
• Registration on the MadeinLocal site (Facebook, OpenID or MadeinLocal) should be done with your real name (the one on your student card / PhD).

Trip to the Canary Islands:

• MadeinLocal offers a trip for 2 people (airfare and accommodation), the costs are borne by you (food, etc..),
• The prize is personal and not convertible into money,
• MadeinLocal will offer different date options for the stay, however, the winner may require the stay to take place during university holidays period,
• MadeinLocal disclaims any responsibility for damage caused to the winner or against the winner during the travel, transportation or any other activity during the period of stay,

Behavior:

• Any comment should be constructive and polite. People will be disqualified if they do not meet the contest rules, terms of use and the site privacy policy,
• Any new place created must be accurately located on the map with the right name,
• Anyone will also be excluded if they write useless chain comments in order to have more chances of winning the competition or creating fictional places,
• Reviews with a quality rating below zero, according to the community votes will not be considered for the competition,
• Only accessible places and public comments provide chances of winning the contest,

Applicable law and jurisdiction:

• This contest and any dispute arising between a student and MadeinLocal is governed by Swiss law. The jurisdiction is in Lausanne.
